about

A fictitious account of the circumstances of Jeff Buckley's drowning death. The song supposes that the ghost of Mary Becker Green, a Mississippi River steamboat pilot lured him to the water, intrigued by his spirit. Mary Green was described as "refreshing as the breeze and modern as the moment", qualities that Jeff Buckley could certainly have said to have possessed.

lyrics

Who'd heed the plaintive call?
Siren of the river.
Panes of glass break the fall

What muse am I, here to entertain your witching?
What muse am I, alone?

I reached the banks
Pulled closer by a tether
Swallowed up, I feel so small

What muse am I, here to entertain your witching?
What muse am I, alone?

She took the wheel of the ship after dark
Under her hand it passed the waves once more.
Were I to live again,
I wouldn't change.
Refreshing as the breeze
Modern as the moment
You. You like me.

What muse am I, here to entertain your witching?
What muse am I, alone?

Who'd heed the plaintive call?
Siren of the river.
Panes of glass break the fall

What muse am I, here to entertain your witching?
What muse am I, alone?

about

Lion Drome Fort Collins, Colorado

Thrash lead guitarist goes modern rock-alternative with Lion Drome with the prime directive of mining the "epic" nature of songwriting. Lion_Drome has elements of upbeat U2, melancholy Porcupine Tree, romantic Jeff Buckley and 80s hard rock as well as synth pop rock ala The Cars and Duran Duran. Predictably, lead guitars get their place to shine all over Lion Drome songs. Get your headphones! ... more
